I think the problem of the paper topic is taken care of.  I’ve decided to do a paper on the Atlanta Women’s Club and their formation of a “Better Films Committee” in 1921.  Many of these were apparently started by women’s clubs (as an option other than censorship) and were eventually organized as part of the National Board of Review under the Hays Office.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution mentions them 777 times through 1929.  Which is a lot.  And it is the online archive rather than the group that disappears at that date.  So there’s a lot to work through on this.

Cho Cho

It seems to me that virtually any “entertainment” by someone named “Cho Cho the Health Clown” would have to be pretty “unique.”  In fact, the very concept fills me with dread…
